I would like to personally appeal to all of you to help me raise some funds to pay for the funeral expenses of my friend Francis Fabre who died 2 Jan 13. Unfortunately, he does not have any immediated family member here and I need to take the body to Meycuayan Bulacan bak to his mum and siblings. He is single without dependent. He was found in the city Christmas day since then he's been incoma then hospital pulled the life support.
Please refer to the attached letter of appeal for full story. The police rung us boxing day to inform us of what happened. Since then we've been looking after him at the ICU and I am the one organising everything for his funeral.
Australian government will not be able to assist him as he is an illegal migrant. I spoke to Linda from Philippine consulate and they will not be able to assist him financially as he is not a victim of crime. But Consulate General Anne Louis waived all the fees pertaining to his travel documents and she agreed with the staff to pass an envelope for their own personal contribution (filipino spirit) for the funeral and Consul Mel will asssit me in appealing to other Filipinos in Sydney. Philippine Airlines is doing their share as well by orgaising for a bit of discount.
If anyone interested to attend the viewing I organised a viewing for Francis Fabre on Tuesday 8 January 2012 6:00-10:30pm at Concept Funerals 118 Durnham St. Hurstville.
Mass will be at 7:00 pm followed by a eulogy.
