Ive been getting the message attached below for the past couple of days. I'm using a laptop, Windows 11, Brave browser, the ad blockers are turned off for Pandora and yet nothing seems to work. The Pandora app on my phone works, it's using the same wifi, router and modem. How do I fix this?
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with that error message. To keep everything organized, I moved your post over to this existing thread: Web: "We're having trouble playing audio on this device" Error
I have paid pandora. I frequently play my custom stations at work in an "incognito" chrome browser. This has worked well for years. My IT department says they don't block Pandora and don't mind that I use it.
Over the past few months it has just started a new error. It will play a few songs no problem, but then struggle to buffer a song, then display the dreaded "We're having trouble playing audio on this device." I've already tried all the chrome browser troubleshooting ( -Troubleshooting-1519949296244?language=en_US). It happens no matter if I use incognito or not. I'm logged into my pandora account. There are no ad blockers running. We do not use Kapersky. I do not have access to another browser (like Firefox) to troubleshoot. I do not want to install a local desktop application. I am not trying to "play on demand", nor do I want to do anything "premium".
If I reload the page a few times I can usually get it to start playing again, but only for a few songs, and then it goes back to the loop of trying to buffer, and then giving an error. My IT department swears nothing has changed on our end. Any advice? Thanks!
I have Pandora Premium with many songs and stations saved for use in offline mode. I am purchasing a new phone soon and wondering if there is a way to transfer these without manually downloading again.
Your offline tunes are device-specific. If you have offline tunes downloaded on your Samsung device - your offline stations / downloads won't be the same on your iPad device. This also means with Pandora Premium, you would need to manually download your offline content again on if you're using a different device.
I am getting ready to get a new phone. Everytime I do so I lose all of my downloaded music. Is there anyway to keep all my downloaded music amd transfer to my new phone without having to go and redo hundreds of songs ?
The tracks you download for offline listening live within the Pandora app on your device. If you switch devices or purchase a new device, you'll have to re-download any offline content you'd like to listen to on the new device. It's not possible to transfer your offline music collection to another device.
The best way to get ideas or feedback like this heard is by submitting a feature request on the Pandora Community. There you can search and vote for current feature requests, or submit a new one. To learn about the process, check out Community's How Do Requests Become Features? article.
So I was looking through the Q&A and I tried to sign out and sign back in to my account on my new device but it didn't transfer my pandora stations or downloaded songs. It shows the downloaded songs but when I go offline mode it only shows the 12 songs that I searched and downloaded. I have access on my old device and everything is perfect on my old device but none of that data/memory of my searches or collections crossed over.
For offline downloading, I would recommend leaving the Pandora app open (in the foreground) while plugged into a power source. I would also wait for albums and playlists before moving to the next one. Larger playlists can slow down the download process.
How exactly do we re-download all that music? Like one song/album at a time? We're talking over 1300 tracks and stations dating back to 2011 from college..a lot of those tunes I can't just look up cuz they're "exotic"
I've gone ahead and removed all the devices associated with your Pandora account. This will automatically sign you out everywhere including any devices you currently have. You'll need to sign back in once this change takes effect. Please be patient as this may not happen instantaneously.
I recommend changing your password to something new and not easily guessed.

I'm having this problem. There is no one else that know of. I'm on the $5 plan. I'm still getting ads and this "someone else..." message. I may have more than one account. I've opened a new account, new email attempting to resolve this. I need some help cleaning this up. Is there some way I can work through this with US based human telephone support, if not I'll have to cancel my paid subscription.
While your Pandora account can be logged into as many devices as you like, they can't be playing at the same time. Regardless of your subscription level, the revenue from one Pandora account only covers the cost of one stream from one device. As long as you press pause on one device before you listen to Pandora on another, you should be fine.
If you believe this error message is popping up due to an unauthorized user and if you have access to a computer, you can take some steps to help protect your account by resetting your password and logging out of all other devices.
Hi @Manish Pandora accounts follow the email address, not the device. You can sign into the same Pandora account on any computer or supported device, as long as you use the same email address and Pandora password. This applies to both free and paid Pandora accounts.
Pandora accounts follow the email address, not the device or phone number. You can sign into the same Pandora account on any computer or supported device, as long as you use the same email address and Pandora password.
I've gone ahead and reached out to our User Support team to further help you with this. They will be reaching out via the email associated with your community account. Please be on the look out for this email.
I got here by using brentdsmith (my name) as my user id but I am not certain that this is, in fact my user Id. I thought it was my email address, but that didn't work. I'm thinking of upgrading to the multi user version so my wife and daughter can have their own collections.
To clarify, Pandora accounts follow the email address, not the device. You can sign into the same Pandora account on any computer or supported device, as long as you use the same email address and Pandora password. This applies to both free and paid Pandora accounts.
I've had Roku devices for about 9-10 years and I've never had a problem. Now, my Pandora channel app won't open. I've been listening to Pandora via my Roku devices all these years but now I'm getting an error message that says: "An Unexpected error has occurred. Please try again.
In this instance, it may be possible that an update has been made or will be made with the Pandora app. With this being said, could you please highlight the app and press the star* button on your remote to update it? After doing so, if the issue persists, it will be an ideal option to directly raise your concerns to the channel provider themselves as they are the ones who provided, maintained, and updated their app on the Roku streaming platform.
