View this email in your browser CLINICAL MANAGEMENT OF DRUG-RESISTANT TUBERCULOSIS: LATEST WHO GUIDANCE AND UNION COURSES Are you familiar with the latest guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO) on the management of drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB)?  Last month, WHO issued a rapid communication about the treatment of multidrug-resistant and rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis.  Our Senior Consultant Dr Chen Yuan Chiang discusses these changes in our blog. READ MORE To help you put this latest guidance into practice, our upcoming interactive course on the clinical management of DR-TB will explain these new changes. It will also address the challenges posed by them, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Designed for clinicians, staff of national tuberculosis programmes and technical partners working in tuberculosis care and prevention, this course is particularly useful in settings where programmatic management of DR-TB had been, or is going to be, implemented.
