Team Alumni Application Extended

Dear Alumni,
For reasons explained herein, we have decided to reopen applications for Team Alumni (TA). We are hoping you might still be interested, but wanted to offer some explanation.
Initially, we believed based on both feedback and past history that we had a large pool of applicants that was going to well exceed our ability to have all applicants join the team. However, it in time came to our attention that there was confusion regarding eligibility to apply for Team Alumni. First, in regards to recruitment, it is not a requirement that you be helping with recruitment nor is it required that all of your assigned schools send an ambassador. These two things are just factors we consider when looking at applications. Second, you do not have to have your 100 hours of community service completed in order to apply. You have one year from your seminar date to complete those hours so we do not expect them to be complete as of yet. You should be well on your way, but again that is not a requirement just a factor in selection.
Currently, we have a few spots remaining on TA that we would like to fill. With the above in mind, we are now soliciting additional applications to fill the remaining spots. Those who submitted their applications on time have already been notified if they were accepted. These individuals will be given priority in team placement. However, we do believe there are outstanding individuals out there who for various reasons including the above may not have submitted an application.
Applications continue to be available at http://www.hobymd.org/2011taapp.pdf. Applications are now being accepted ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS in such a way to complete the team. We will be filling the remaining positions as the applications come in. Submitting an application is not a guarantee of acceptance, but the sooner you get it in, the more likely you are to be placed. There is no official deadline for this open application, but it is IMPERATIVE you return application as directed in it absolutely ASAP. Once the team has been filled, we will have a waitlist and will notify the group as necessary once we are no longer accepting applications.
