I think it would be nice if we all threw our hats in the ring for
support over at: http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issue/RUBY-7083

I think it would be a nice service to the community and would raise
Hobo awareness for sure.

In principle, this shouldn't be terribly hard - the DRYML Textmate bundle from way back basically just used ERB mode with a *slight* tweak to allow tag-folding to work on nonstandard tag names...

Hmm, so no activity on the RubyMine front it seems over on their bug
tracking. Can we attempt to do something then to give them a polite
kick in the butt? Anyone have any idea as to how RubyMine would
accept an integration or a modification by users so far for file type
recognition?

You could write a plugin. It's Java and it uses the internal structure of RubyMine. How is your Java-fu?

Not so hot at the moment, but I do have a general CS background strong
in C, C++, etc. Been poking around various projects and can't seem to
find a starting point. Emailed their support yesterday as well as a
few folks who've contrib'd to RubyMine in the past, but nothing back
yet. I'd be willing to look at it if I could get some sort of a
starting point, but I'd certainly need some input.

Thanks dd, still looking into this. Not having much success yet as I
don't have a ton of time to poke around. Hoping to find a solid
starting point. If you, or anyone, comes across anything, please let
me know.

I have been experimenting with RubyMine for the last couple of weeks.

I see some nice features, but the lack of syntax highlighting for DRYML is frustrating.

For now, I am straddling TextMate and RubyMine. I would love to be able to just stay in RubyMine, but I can't without DRYML highlighting - it makes a huge difference in readability.
