Podcast image in background of remote won't go away

Hi all, I previously listened to a podcast using VLC and somehow the image for the podcast popped up on the remote, but it won't go away.  It stays up no matter what video I watch or podcast I listen to in VLC.  How do I get rid of it.  BTW on a mac, remote on iphone. subject:background subject:image subject:in subject:remote subject:never subject:changes subject:nor subject:disappears
