VLCStreamer won't hide controls

Hello Hobbyist Software!
We love using VLCStreamer on an iPhone 13 Pro Max to watch movies that are on a MacBook Pro. But when we hook the iPhone to a projector screen through the lightning port, then we can't make the VLCStreamer controls disappear (the play/pause button, volume slider, timeline slider). They just always stay visible, which makes it impossible to watch the movie. Is there a way to fix this?
