Dear Friend and Fellow Delegate,
This election year is a critical one for the future of the Republican Party in New Mexico and our country.
The position of National Committeeman is not well understood but it is important. That person represents New Mexico in national discussions about the direction and future of our party and our country. The person chosen as National Committeeman will play a major role in policies the Republican National Committee will pursue.
Likewise, I will say that our national party needs to return to the principles Ronald Reagan championed. Those policies made us great and will return us to our previous stature, both nationally and internationally.
We need to do more than work to win elections. We need to win the hearts and minds of people from both parties.
Two people are running for the position of National Committeeman. You will vote for ONE at the state Quadrennial convention on May 21st.
I know both men well. Pat Rogers is a noted lawyer who has served as National Committeeman for eight (8) years. Harvey Yates is a well-known businessman and has a proven record as an effective leader in our party.
The National Republican Party has failed to live up to its promise. Just as I was one of the first people in the Congress to say it was time for a change in the Speaker of the House, even with my high regard for Pat Rogers, I think it is time for a change.
We need people setting the national direction of the party who understand what it takes to create jobs. Harvey is a successful business guy. He knows what it takes.
That’s why I am proud to support Harvey Yates for National Committeeman.
We need people speaking nationally for us as Republicans to take stances that are based on principle, people who will speak out against corruption. Harvey is a man of principle and integrity. He wrote and published a book about the crony capitalism corruption of the Bill Richardson Administration.
That’s why I am proud to support Harvey Yates for National Committeeman.
Harvey is a committed conservative who for years has dedicated himself to advancing the Republican Party and conservative policies.
That’s why I am proud to support Harvey Yates for National Committeeman.
Harvey has long been committed to growing our state party and has actively recruited minorities to join our party and run for elected office. He has appealed to traditionally Democrat audiences in a fight for the heart and soul of the state.
That’s why I am proud to support Harvey Yates for National Committeeman.
Harvey is committed to the grassroots conservatives who are the backbone of our party and the source of our party’s strength, values and ideas.
That’s why I am proud to support Harvey Yates for National Committeeman.
He also has a proven record as an effective leader in our party. Harvey served as the State Chairman from 2009 to 2010 and traveled extensively throughout all 33 counties. When his chairmanship began, Republicans held 3 statewide offices — two Court of Appeals judges and Land Commissioner. By the end of his chairmanship, we had a Republican Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of State and 8 more Republicans in the House of Representatives. An accomplishment that put us in position to take over the NM House of Representatives under Party Chairman, John Billingsley.
I sincerely hope you will join me in supporting Harvey Yates for National Committeeman. If you would like to speak to me personally, please call Andrea Goff at 575-390-8050 and she will arrange a call for us.
Thank you again for your consideration and support. I hope you will join me in voting for Harvey Yates.
Kindest regards,
Steve Pearce
P.S. Please join me in voting for Harvey Yates for National Committeeman. At this pivotal time, I know his leadership will help make our party stronger.
