Bhayanak Part 1 is a Hindi dubbed version of the 2009 Telugu film Aa Intlo, starring Chinna, Asha Saini, Devna Pani and Vinod Kumar. The film is directed by Chinna and produced by Boddam Ashok Yadav. Ravi was having an affair with another woman and wanted to get rid of Maya. He hired a tantrik (Om Puri) to perform a black magic ritual on her and then stabbed her to death. However, Maya's soul did not rest in peace and vowed to take revenge on Ravi and anyone who lives in the house.
Rajesh and Shanti try to escape from the house, but find themselves trapped by the spirit. They also discover that their daughter Anu (Nutan) has been possessed by Maya and is acting strangely. They seek the help of a priest (Ranjeeta Kaur), who tells them that the only way to get rid of the spirit is to perform a special puja on the night of Amavasya (new moon). Will they be able to survive till then and free themselves from the curse?
