For anyone who sees the profound need to address the escalating “war on women” that is virulently spreading from state to state, please see the attached info.  If not during this week of events, please join and/or find some other way to support the many wonderful people and groups involved with this days-away week of events.

We’re all inescapably in it together,

Dave

Attached is a full calendar - as close to finalized as I have at this point - for all the events AAUW and a host of other activist women's groups in KC have been planning for Women's Equality Week celebrations.  I hope you can attend many of these events.

I want to call your attention to two items in particular:  One if the Sunday Kick off Rally in Mill Creek Park (47th and Main).   AAUW will be hosting a table at that event with membership information as well as petitions to get the Equal Rights Amendment (finally) ratified.   There is a terrific program planned for the Rally and it would be great if you could join us with your AAUW hats on!     Second, on Tuesday, August 27, AAUW is co-hosting with the League of Women Voters a panel discussion regarding the 3-State Strategy for the passage of the E.R.A., at the National Archives, 6:00 reception.   The panel is POWERFUL; please attend!

Please pass the word on to all your friends about this exciting week of events.   We are trying to get the word out in as many ways as possible!

Thanks, all.

Nicky
