You are invited to join KC’s longest running conversation (7th decade!).
Catch it Sunday mornings at 10 am, or the reruns on KKFI.  We live in a world where media markets have highly segmented pockets, but The Forum continues to offer you a place where you can directly meet and interact weekly with an impressive array of leaders and speakers who care about and are engaging with you in your local community.

This past Sunday was an interesting Forum on corporate personhood (with the Exec. Dir. from ACLU and from Move to Amend).  Friends of the Building Sustainable Community listserv may note below that Richard Mabion’s forum was inclement weather rescheduled to the 19th.

“How to Help Low-Income People Care about the Environment” with Richard Mabion  -May 19

Missourians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty

Tuesday May 7, 6:30pm, All Souls

Featured speaker: Rev. R. Stan Runnels, ordained priest of the Episcopal Church for thirty years. He has served parishes in the dioceses of Mississippi and West Missouri, and is serving currently at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Day School at 40th and Main. Early in his ministry he served about four years as a volunteer chaplain at Parchman Penitentiary in Mississippi. A good portion of that time, he was the only minister serving the inmates and staff of the prison’s “Death Row.”  This is a free event and open to the public. All are welcome.
