Players use two attached light guns (in the case of the DS, a pen or in the case of the iOS version, touching the screen) to hit targets onscreen; missions require speed, quick judgment or pinpoint accuracy. The game consists of non-violent shooting contests where players are tasked with challenges such as shooting player-colored bulls-eyes, cardboard criminals, and other inanimate objects, not shooting bombs and cardboard cutouts of civilians (much like in Namco's first light-gun game, Steel Gunners), and protecting characters Dr. Don and Dr. Dan, among other miscellaneous challenges, similar to games like Police Trainer, and Area 51: Site 4 - and players choose the desired difficulty level (Practice, Beginner, Advanced, and Very Hard in the first game, or Training, Beginner, Advanced, and Insane in the second game onwards) which will determine how many stages must be finished to complete the game, as well as their overall difficulty. Players are shown four missions in each grouping, and may attempt them in any order; they usually have only three lives for the entire game, but this may depend on the cabinet settings. Most stages have unlimited bullets, but some have a limited amount of ammo. Players lose lives if they fail to fulfill the stage quota, or shoot Do Not Shoot targets, such as Bombs, Civilians or the opponent's colour targets.

There are six different types of stages in the game: Accuracy, where both players must shoot the designated areas with the highest points, Intelligence, where they must count to sixteen (by shooting the numbers), Memory, where they must match two cards by shooting two matching cards, Simulation, where they are required to shoot the cardboard robbers but not civilians (in the Japanese theme of this type, they must shoot cardboard ninjas, but not geishas), Visual Acuity, where they are required to shoot the target which matches what is displayed, and Speed, where they are required to shoot targets of their designated colors (depending players play from left or right); in the arcade version, both light guns must also be calibrated before the crosshairs on the screen shall move.

Upon completing all stages, players will have their performance ranked. Point Blank 1 & 2's ranking is based on how many points have been accumulated, lives remaining, and how many continues have been used, and will advise the player to advance up to a higher difficulty, try out head to head with a friend, return to a lower difficulty, or to practice more. Point Blank 3 and DS ranks numerous aspects of a player's performance such as concentration, accuracy, judgement etc., and then presents them with an overall letter grade.

Reviews for the PlayStation version were positive, with critics especially praising the great variety of the stages.[4][5][6][12] Dan Hsu and John Ricciardi of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) both wrote that it was the best light gun game they had ever played, and they and their two co-reviewers lauded the game's addictiveness, longevity, and additional PlayStation content, especially the quest mode. Point Blank tied with the PlayStation version of Resident Evil 2 for EGM's "Game of the Month".[4] Next Generation was less impressed with the quest mode, commenting that "It's nice to know that Namco wants to add value to the overall package, but it seems a bit forced, and players will tire of it well before they're finished." They instead considered the competitive two-player mode the highlight, and concluded that "Overall, Point Blank is in no way perfect for a single player, but people looking for a two-player gun game will not be disappointed."[6] GameSpot summed up, "Namco's managed to capture and apply the addictive elements of puzzle and shooting games, creating a title that is so enjoyable and difficult to put down you won't be bothered by the audiovisual shortcomings."[5] GamePro said the endless variety keeps the player from getting bored, resulting in "a lighthearted shooter that will entertain you for a surprisingly long time." They gave it a perfect 5.0 out of 5 for control and 4.0 in each of the remaining categories (graphics, sound, and funfactor).[12]

Point Blank Mobile is a free to play mobile shooter being developed by Zepetto for Android. Little is known about the game at the moment, but the game will feature combat in various conditions like land, sea, and even air and over 100 different weapons can be unlocked for use. Thrilling, action-packed shooting is just the beginning of the exciting gameplay that Point Blank Mobile is going to bring to mobile gamers.

It just depends on how you envision playing your character. If you're a pure fighter, can I assume that you are planning on dropping your bow and drawing a sword at some point? In that case...I'd definitely get it and the Quick Draw feat. If you're adjacent and you fire, drop, and draw, no AoO's and now the enemy provokes from you as well. Plus next round you are ready for a full attack with your sword.

Some classes provide the PBM feat, or something equivalent. The fighter archer archetype provides such an ability the same as point blank master, at 9th level. The zen archer gets an ability that gives them the PBM feat. If your archer plans to get into melee a lot, regardless of their choosing, it's needed and worth it. ranger archers typically pick this u, either through their bonus feat, or normal feat use.

Some types of classes that most likely won't need it, rogue archer ( they are very mobile, and can easily get out of the way of a melter, sometimes better than the zen archer), bard archer (not a highly dedicate archer typically, uses feat slots to help boost archery and their singing ability), cleric archer ( magic is a huge draw for the cleric typically, Moreso than the archery. The PBM feat might actually be good for th, if they focus more on the archery side and get closer to the actio. If they tend to play more faster style and in the back more often, your better off not picking up PBM). That's typically it, the other archer types are more rare, so they tend to not pick this up, since they wold more utilize the feats for the actual class advantages, and not the bow. The big 3 archer classes, zen archer, ranger, fighter, and the EHK/AA combo, not many classes will utilize the feat that much.

Someone suggested that point blank master is good if you plan on five footing away or in striking at range vs against foes nearby - which seems odd to me as my primary use of PBM is to strike, with my bow, at enemies right next to me (and surprise them when it doesn't trigger AoO's even when I flurry at them - I play a Zen Archer which gets PBM as a bonus feat very early)

You never shot a bow have you?Especially at short ranges you aim directly at the target and the arrow flies in a straight line. You only have to do the arc-shooting with very distant targets. I used to shoot competitively. When using bows with a draw of more than 30-50 lbs, you arch up because you're using more of your back muscles in them in my experience, at which point your shooting distance is constrained by ceiling height beyond 15 yards. We always ended up with a number of fouled shots from shafts rubbing the 12' roof on indoor shoots at the 4H Pavillion - we didn't in the basketball courts.

Action economy! The party wins by maximizing its action economy. As a contributing party member, make yourself as self-sufficient as possible so that you can spend actions hurting bad guys (hurt = crowd control, hit point damage, or otherwise interfering with their plans of hurting you), not frantically buffing yourselves.

The Point Blank-class stealth cruiser is an unclassified model of capital ship maintained and deployed exclusively by the Office of Naval Intelligence. Dwarfing UNSC destroyers in both size and tonnage, and considered more valuable than larger cruisers in terms of tactical utility, these stealth cruisers are intended as heavy command and support craft for prowler squadrons. As they are fitted with powerful cloaking technologies that can allow them to infiltrate regions even other prowlers could not, and a dangerous armament for their classification, many Point Blank-class stealth cruisers were used as the mobile headquarters for entire wings within ONI.

Tall, long, and thin, with a hint of bulk, the Point Blank-class stealth cruiser is unique among ONI's formidable fleet of prowlers. Although it shares the smooth, angular lines characteristic of stealth corvettes - a feature that redirects incoming RADAR scans to throw off detection - at the time most prowlers were quite streamlined in shape in order to fool observers into mistaking them as civilian private yachts. There are few identifying features across their hull, no obvious turrets and missile pods to hit, and not even the name of the ship is painted on at any point. Its general appearance is quite difficult to grasp in the field, as the camouflaging texture buffers were set at their darkest possible setting.

OLE MISS HEAD COACH Andy Kennedy

On the ability of fours to score consistently and how that played tonight ...
"It seems like that to me all season. Offensively, that has been a struggle for us all season. You don't allow an SEC opponent to come into your building shoot 51 percent from the floor, score 80, have as many offensive rebounds as you have defensive rebounds, it's a miracle that we were in the game. We made some shots, I thought (Terence Davis) was fantastic in the second half, knocking down some shots. Cullen hits a big three to give us a chance, we just couldn't come up with a big stop. It seemed like every time we needed one, and they gave us opportunities. They went through a stretch of missing four or five shots and kept maintaining possession and getting the ball. We couldn't get the ball, you gotta get the ball to win."

On keeping A&M away from the basket and easy shots ...
"They're bigger, faster, stronger obviously up front. It was a different level and anytime we tried switching they did some things late in the shot clock to get some point blank shots. The fight has to be earlier, you can't let league caliber players get point-blank shots."

On the shot-clock violation and goaltending close play at the end ...
"You know my staff was yelling that they didn't get it off in time. From my vantage point, I couldn't see. However, it didn't go in so it wasn't reviewable."

On the disheartening loss and how you prepare a team for a Baylor team ...
"Everybody in the room has a different view on this game and the Baylor game. Our view has never changed, we have to get better. Plain and simple, from day one, I've told these guys that we have to get better. We are not talking big picture, we have got to get better. We have some injuries and the Rasheed situation, and we're just trying to fill holes in our team. We are just trying to manage games as best we can and give ourselves a chance. A&M is a talented team and they played us really well tonight."

On Rasheed Brooks ...
"He had one more test today that was the last hurdle. I have not gotten an update. However, he was in the locker room and his spirit was up, I just have not gotten word from the doctor."
