When do item points get updated? I've noticed for example the points
haven't been updated on this one for almost two weeks:

It looks like a bug?

To keep the load on the HN server to a minimum we only crawl the last 3K items. At the current rate of submission 3K items is about 18-24 hours which means we won't pick up on votes after that time period. We're going to start doing nightly crawls that go further back in time but there will always be a lag between HN and HNSearch.
