we are basically involve in Formulation & repacking of Agro Chemicals since 1984 based at Ahmedabad. We have an urgent requirement of Safety Officer for our group of Companies called Vimal Crop Care Pvt Ltd.
Designation : EHS Officer/Senior EHS Officer
Education : Degree/Diploma in Industrial Health & Safety, BSC Fire & Safety
Experience : 2 to 8 Yrs. Preferably from pharma, chemicals, FMCG, pesticides or agrochemicals industries..
Job Description:-
=>Conducts program assessments to identify department program deficiencies.
=>Designs, develops and conducts safety and environmental training programs.
=>Coordinates and conducts work area assessment, surveys, and program Evaluations to determine the presence of hazardous conditions, such as noise Exposure, chemical exposure, indoor air quality, light levels, confined space, and Ventilation in paint booths. Assists departments with specific training needs by Locating and scheduling outside training activities.
=>Analyzes hazardous conditions and assigns risk assessment codes for use by departments to prioritize and budget corrective actions.
=>Implements and manages the City's environmental management system. This includes administering the waste management contract, and coordinating hazardous and universal waste management activities.
=>Works with administration of workers' compensation program to determine areas for increased training and emphasis on accident prevention. Provides statistical and fiscal data on workers' compensation injuries. Maintains complete and accurate records as required. Prepares various reports, including charts and graphs, to determine trends and needs.
=>Collects, analyzes and maintains data essential for effective safety and environmental programs.
=>Evaluates hazardous conditions and recommends engineering controls, administrative controls, and/or personal protective equipment. Prepares and monitors division budget requirements and expenditures. Develops fire prevention program for City employees, including building evacuation procedures.
=>Responsible for, and administers, the annual fire extinguisher maintenance program and the annual sprinkler system inspection and test program. Designated the Employer Representative for the implementation and management of the City's Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Program. Administers the random and post accident testing program. Maintains accurate records in the administration of these programs and maintains computer database for these policies.
=>Administers and provides technical advice on the medical surveillance program to include required vaccinations and medical testing of employees as may be regulated by OSHA and other federal and state laws.
=>Conducts periodic inspections of City job sites to assist managers and supervisors in environmental, health, and safety compliance.
