AWI (Ahmedabad Wilderness Insiders) invites college/University students (BSc, MSc, M.Phil, Ph.D.) and wildlife ecology enthusiasts (upto age of around 30 years only) to attend a talk by a Wildlife Ecology Professor from USA on the topic "How to Make your Wildlife Studies on Par with International Standards". Here, the term "Wildlife" includes birds, mammals, herps, macro-invertebrates and plants(especially hydrophytes). The 1-hour presentation by the Professor will be followed by discussions/question-answers by participants with the Professor for 45-60 minutes. There also will be a presentation on common writing flaws of wildlife researchers in Gujarat.
The Talk and Discussion will be held on 18-12-2016(Sunday) from 10.00 am to 1:00 pm.
The invited Professor has published 130 research papers in peer reviewed scientific journals, mentored/supervized 32 MS (MSc) students for their Master’s Theses and 12 Doctoral students for their Ph.D. Dissertations. He has led over 50 research projects in USA. The Professor is an editor of the 3-volume book “Wetland Techniques” published in 2013 by Springer. He has been teaching the subjects like " Introduction to Wildlife and Fisheries Resources". "Advanced Wildlife and Fisheries Management, "Renewable Resource Policy and Governance".
