Greetings from House of Musical Traditions! We have several announcements for you about items for sale, workshops & classes with School of Musical Traditions, and concerts/events with Institute of Musical Traditions:
We have recently acquired several large estate collections of musical instruments! It's an astounding amount of strings, winds, percussion and keyboards/electronics - so much that we've actually had to rent a storage unit! You'll want to keep an eye on our
New Arrivals section for all the latest: from crumhorns, recorders & other Renaissance instruments, to acoustic & electric guitars & basses, to world strings & percussion, to organs, keyboards & synths! There is more in the store than is listed online, so it's a great time to plan a visit if you're local.
Several of our suppliers have announced price increases for 2022 that are either currently in effect, or will be in the next few weeks. Though we are obligated to adhere to current Minimum Advertised Pricing in our online listings, we have a good amount of new stock at the store that was acquired before price increases, and we can sometimes offer small discounts off prices you might see online.
We, and our partners School of Musical Traditions & Institute of Musical Traditions, remain continually vigilant about COVID-19 safety. Masks are required for everyone inside the store, customers are asked to wash their hands before handling instruments, and we are frequently cleaning throughout the day. We also offer curbside or car-side service if you prefer not to enter the store - as well as local delivery for orders and repairs. For School of Musical Traditions lessons and classes, masks are required for all in-person lessons, and capacity for workshops is limited to small groups. Proof of vaccination is also required for some workshops. SMT also offers virtual and hybrid options for lessons & classes. If you see an in-person class below you're interested in but are hesitant about attending in person, we encourage you to
contact SMT to discuss virtual & hybrid options. For IMT concerts, audience capacity is limited, and proof of vaccination & masking is required.
