We're a little overstocked from last week's Southern MD Celtic Festival, so we are running a 10% off sale on the following items, through May 10:
- Whistles & flutes by Carbony (carbon fiber, US-made), Tony Dixon, Susato, and select used whistles
- Harpsicle harps (US-made 26-string harps with various sharping lever options)
- Roosebeck bodhrans, and used bodhrans by Brendan White, Mance Grady & MaLachy Kearns

In addition to private lessons, School of Musical Traditions continues to have a busy schedule of workshops, group classes, jams and summer camps - for a wide range of instruments, styles, ages and abilities. Visit SMT's website for more information - their schedule includes:
- Celtic, bluegrass, jazz and old-time repertoire classes
- Ensemble classes for Celtic style and Grateful Dead songs
- Guitar skills, ukulele and improvisation workshops
- Regular bluegrass, uke and jazz jams
- "Let's Make a Song" summer camps for 1st-5th graders
Registration for the annual Takoma Groove Camp in July is also open!
Finally, the Takoma Porch music festival is happening around town Saturday, May 9th, including performances outside HMT. You can find the schedule here (still being updated) and a map here.
