I will be there representing the PTSA.  I will be bringing juices and can set up and clean up after.  I do not have a membership to Costco or Sams (where we usually go to get the pastries and fruit) so as long as Mr. Cox or Mrs. Walker can pick those 2 items up and drop them off, I will get it all ready.
Thanks....see you Friday!
Stephanie

Thanks Mrs. Ashurst,
Do we have anyone who will pick up the pastries for this Friday? The pastries can be dropped off Thursday evening or Friday morning.

Sounds great...hopefully TCAP scores will increase and the students will earn a Pep Rally!

I am available to help assemble and distribute the TCAP snacks...I just have to know in advance so I can block out my work calendar.

I am also available to help with Pastries with Parents this month.  I am happy to pick up the juices and be in attendance for this if I can enlist the help of someone else to go by Cosco or Sam's for the pastries and fruit.  Just let me know.

Thanks!
Stephanie

This past week it was announced that if a grade level increased their DEA scores by one percentage point they would be allowed to be out of SSA for one day. This means each grade level has the opportunity to be out of SSA for a total of three days. Remember, this incentive is by grade level.

As soon as I have the data, I will share it with the students and make the needed call outs for parents.

I am in the process of creating an incentive for TCAP testing as well. I have thought about a possible Pep Rally. I have not solidified my TCAP incentive as of yet.

Hello Everyone,
We pray that all is well with each of you and your families on today.  Mrs. Miller, I know that you are no longer with us, however, we want to keep you in the loop of what we are doing and would love any suggestions about what we are planning.  If you want me to remove you from emails, I will.  Thanks.

Mrs. Walker and I met on Friday, February 8th to discuss upcoming events taking place at HMMS.

Teacher Appreciation Week is scheduled from May 6th - 10th.  (please give us your feedback and of course we all will need to support these events :-)

Monday - Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (We will need letter created and submitted to Krispy Kreme to ask if doughnuts could be donated).  We will have bottle water for teachers to drink.

Tuesday - Provide teachers with chocolate goody bag. A sandwich ziploc back with assorted chocolate candy placed in their mailboxes. The thought of giving teachers  a t-shirt left over from Fall Festival was considered.

Wednesday - Healthy Snack Day - Provide teachers with a selection of fruit such as apples, oranges, grapes, and bananas. (asking ptsa parents for these donations was considered) or asking Krogers/Wal Mart for donations.

Thursday - AKA's providing something for teachers. Last year they provided a great selection of sweets for teachers. Dr. Carr will speak with sorority

Friday - PTSA will provide luncheon with a budget of $250.00.  ( something like Corky's BBQ was suggested).

Student Spirit Week is scheduled from May 13th - 17th

Monday - School Spirit Shirt Day - students may wear school spirit attire (HMMS t-shirts, face painting with HMMS colors, etc...)

Tuesday - Favorite Sport Team Shirt Day

Wednesday - Represent your grade day by each grade wearing matching colored shirts (5th graders = white, 6th graders = blue, 7th graders = red, and 8th graders = green).

Thursday - (Open) Last year we had a Career Dress Up Day (students wore attire based upon their career path), doctor, lawyer, engineer, teacher, etc...)

Friday - No SSA Day- (we are looking to provide some type of snack for students on that day, ice cream cups, etc...)

Now: A suggestion was made that we could possibly request to allow students to be out of SSA Wednesday - Friday based upon 95% of students arriving on time for TCAP, No write ups that week, etc...  (TCAP scheduled the first week of May), trying to use this as an incentive to motivate students during TCAP week. Of course this would have to be

I will need to send you guys the plans for Silent Auction, going home now..  Make it a great Day !!!

Mr. Cox
