registrations are open for the 6th edition of the online course: Generalised Additive Models in R, taking place from 7–10 December.

Generalised Additive Models (GAMs) provide a flexible, data-driven approach to regression modelling, allowing relationships between variables to be learned directly from the data using splines. In this course, you will learn how GAMs extend classical regression methods and how they can be used in a wide range of applications.

The course combines lectures, discussions, and hands-on practical sessions in R, and topics include model fitting, interpretation, visualisation, and extensions such as interactions and hierarchical smooths.
