to hmecology: Hierarchical Modeling in Ecology

Hi all,

I am working with a JAGs model that estimates abundance from vocalizations obtained via acoustic recorders. The issue that I am dealing with is my abundance model is underdispersed and there is no direct (distributions) way to deal with underdispersion in JAGs. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this or is my best option to translate the model to NIMBLE?
