New R package "spOccupancy"

Hi all,

I am excited to announce our new R package "spOccupancy" is now available on CRAN. The package fits single-species, multi-species, and integrated spatially-explicit occupancy models in a Bayesian framework. We use efficient MCMC algorithms to ensure users can fit spatially-explicit models for potentially massive data sets (e.g., 100,000 locations).

spOccupancy provides functionality for data simulation, model fitting, model validation (by posterior predictive checks), model comparison (using WAIC and k-fold cross-validation), and prediction. For a detailed vignette and examples of the package's functionality, please see the package website as well as a recent preprint that describes our methods in much more detail.
