Until just a few weeks ago the AHM book website was available via https://www.mbr-pwrc.usgs.gov/pubanalysis/keryroylebook/ but now when I use that link it redirects me to https://www.usgs.gov/centers/eesc. Does the book website still exist somewhere or has it been taken down completely? I wanted to check if there was answer to one of the exercises in chapter 8.

Thanks,

Christina

Dear Christina,

yes, we noticed ourselves only recently that our book websites at the former Patuxent Wildlife Research Center were down. We are working at this and hope we can get them up again.  However, re. solutions to exercises I am sorry to disappoint you right here: we have never gotten around to actually solve these exercises. Nor has any volunteer come up and provided such solutions .... But if there is anything that you are particularly interested in there, perhaps we can discuss on this list ?

Best regards  -- Marc

Dear Marc,

Thanks for your reply. I remembered seeing something on the website about solutions so was hoping that maybe some of the exercises may have had answers. I will post my question as a new thread on this list.

Thanks,

Christina

Dear Christina, all,

thanks to the quick help of Jim Hines and colleagues at the USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center (formerly known as the glorious "Patuxent Wildlife Research Center") the AHM book website as well as other websites for related books are up again.

Notably, a landing page for a cluster of hierarchical modeling in ecology books is back, and you can find it here: www.hierarchicalmodels.com. You can then pick any of a number of books and go to the relevant webpages.

Best regards  -- Marc

Dear Marc,

I was browsing the "new" AHMbook website and noticed that Mike's original site has disappeared. What a pity, it was such a valuable resource.

Best regards,

Pepe Jiménez
