15th August,1947 to 15th August,2010. Almost 63 years are goneby.
India has made remarkable in many fields but there are many more to be
done.
Unfortunately, the fruits of our progree has not reached to all. There
are many things which disturb me like corruption, wastege of
resources, not caring about the ecology, neglect of cleanliness,
violating of rules and regulations ete.
While going to my college in the morning for the flag hoisting
ceremony, I found so many people in their vehicles, not stopping at
traffic signals, not respecting traffic rules even today also. They
are the same people who break traffic rules almost every day. They are
the same people who may be taking pride in breaking of all kinds of
rules and regulations.
Our legal system also is such that offenders hardly get punished.
police department is expert in weaking the cases and therefore, in the
court of law, such cases do not stand and get dismissed.
Culprits are found roaming everywhere. Murderers and dreaded
terrorists are pampered. There are people who are worried about the
human rights of these goonda elements. Media, particularly english
media give so much publicity to such activities and make us forget the
real issues. Persons like Mamata Banerjee, Arundhati Roy, Kashmiri
leader Geelani openly support such elements and speak against India
and Indian Constitution and nothing is done to them.
I don't feel in the bottom of my heart that we have really won the
Azadi. This is not the real democracy. We are making a mockery of
democracy.
