WLA 2011-2012 Board Applications Due Tomorrow at 5pm!
Serving on the WLA Board is an awesome opportunity to get more involved
with the WLA and get high level leadership experience at HLS. Please
see the attached document for a detailed list of board positions and
responsibilities. We are looking for a diverse range of women who are
passionate about the WLA's mission of women supporting women at HLS. No
prior involvement with the WLA is required. Those interested are
encouraged to send questions to the WLA president, Amy Sennett (amy.s...@gmail.com) or WLA Vice-President, Stephanie Davidson (sdav...@jd13.law.harvard.edu). Please let us know if you need more time to complete your application. To apply,
complete this poll with your top three board position choices and a brief statement of explaining why you are interested in those positions. In addition, please email hls...@gmail.com with a digital photo of yourself as an attachment to be used on the WLA website's officer page.
Further Details on the WLA Board Structure: The WLA Board meets once a month for a 90 minute dinner meeting in which we discuss general organizational issues as well as providing committees time to publicize their recent activities with the rest of the board. Each committee has 2 to 4 co-chairs (see the attached document) as well as 1L reps who help to execute that committee's programming. Committees are expected to put on a minimum of 3 to 4 events each semester but have the freedom to design those events as the co-chairs see fit. Board members are encouraged to work across committees or outside of the traditional committee structures to plan events about which they are particularly passionate.
