A couple of final events and announcements from the WLA before exams!

Refresh! Rejuvenate! Relax! Oatmeal with the WLA

Take a break from those books and come fuel your brain this Wednesday, December 8th, from 9-11am.  Stop by the WLA's Brain Food Buffet in Hark South and enjoy warm oatmeal with all of the fixin's! All are welcome!

Be a Mock Juror for a Middle School Competition at the Downtown Courthouse!

Dozens of middle school students in Boston spent the Fall semester training with lawyers and judges to present legal arguments in the Discovering Justice program, taking place this coming Tuesday, December 7th, sponsored at the downtown courthouse.  Being a juror requires no preparation or training and is a great chance to interact with the greater Boston legal community. Serving as a juror is a fun one-time service opportunity and your presence is extremely meaningful for the students participating. The group will meet on campus at 4pm on Tuesday to go downtown. Please email rl...@jd12.law.harvard.edu ASAP if you would like to go!

Save the Date: Women’s Law Association Annual Conference!

The Women's Law Association asks you to save the date for our Fifth Annual Conference – This is What Equality Looks Like: The World We Want for Women and Girls.  Our conference will take place on Friday, February 11, 2010 in Ropes-Gray.  The conference will include four impressive panels, Judiciary, Economics, Girls, and Health, as well as a Keynote Address, which will be announced at a later date. After the conference, we ask you to join us for cocktails and dinner with the panelists.  More details about the conference and dinner registration to follow.  We hope you will participate in this exciting day! Please feel free to contact Poppy Alexander (poppyal...@gmail.com), Mary Catherine Blanton (marycb...@gmail.com), Kim Lucas (kluca...@gmail.com), or Beth Greaney (egre...@jd12.law.harvard.edu) with questions.
