General Announcements
Women Speak Out
Does it bother you that only 22% of senior faculty, 27% of junior faculty, and just 30% of speakers at the Kennedy School are women? Do you want to do something about it? If so, give us just a few minutes of your time at WOMEN SPEAK OUT and help us show how much women have to say. Pipeline is campaigning for 50% women speakers at all of the Kennedy School centers. As part of this important campaign, we are aiming to mobilize 100 women to speak on 28 April. We will create a pipeline of speakers and supporters in the courtyard, and for two hours straight women will SPEAK OUT - for a minute each - in the heart of the Kennedy School, in celebration of women’s voices, and in protest against women’s under-representation. We are asking you to join the pipeline, for anything from a few minutes to the full two hours, and to SPEAK OUT at this memorable event, on any subject that inspires you: politics, hobbies, poetry, stories, research interests or rants about spring exercise. Whatever you have to say - and however controversial you want to be - we want to hear it! Sign up to join us now at http://pipelineproject.tumblr.com. Or contact: Hannah Peaker (Hannah...@hks.harvard.edu), or Caroline Pearce (Carolin...@hks11.harvard.edu).
