F1-Immunizations (Clarification on VIS Barcode Validation)

Hi Team,

During our immunization validation, we encountered the following message from the test tool: 

‘Invalid content (based on test case fixed data) - The value 253088698300049311250529 at 'Component OBX-5.1 (Identifier)' does not match the expected value 253088698300049311230512’

Could you please confirm the correct approach;

1. Should our system validate only against current VIS barcodes, or

2. Should it also allow historic VIS barcodes ??

Hello, 

The VIS code that you are using is correct.  The current release of our tool is still using the old value of that code which is why it is complaining.

We will be releasing a new version of the tool very soon which includes that new code, along with several more code set updates.

FYI, we typically batch up multiple code set updates from CDC and release new versions of the tool every few months, which is why at any given time we may be behind only the latest code set updates.
