The Victoria Jazz Band plays this Weds Sep 7 at Grappa's Cellar, basement of Jardine House, 1 Connaught Place, Central. Open to everyone so bring along your friends and family. No partner required, beginners welcome! Starts 8pm, with a free Beginner lesson at the band break.
 
This Sun Sep 11 is at Blue Smoke BBQ, 3/F Grand Progress Building, 15-16 Lan Kwai Fong, Central. From around 8.30 will be an all-level free class, then DJ'ed dancing until 11.15pm. Free entry, but for dinner and table reservations, call 2816 9018.

Blues Workshop with Fred Ngo, Sun Sep 11, 11.30-1.30pm at at Chinny - 10/F, Richmond Plaza, 496 Jaffe Road, Causeway Bay.
In recent years, blues has become popular with lindy hoppers and social dancers worldwide. Learn connection and improvisation techniques and concepts important to both foundational and advanced social dancing. Some knowledge of lindy hop and swing is an asset, but not required. Fred has been teaching lindy hop for 13 years, founding Cat's Corner in 1998, one of the oldest swing dance schools in Canada.
$200 for the 2-hour workshop if registering as a single person (follower or leader)
$300 for the 2-hour workshop if registering as a couple (we'll still be switching partners in class)
