This Sun Apr 17 (and all the Sundays in April) will be at Blue Smoke BBQ, 3/F Grand Progress Building, Lan Kwai Fong, Central.
From 8-8.45pm will be an all-level free class, then DJ'ed dancing until 11pm. Free entry, but for dinner and table reservations, call 2816 9018.

TONIGHT! Shim Sham Workshop with Karen - Tues Apr 12.  7.15-8.15PM
The Shim Sham is an easy and fun classic routine, originally a tap routine. Today it is danced by Lindy Hoppers all over the world, and recalls the roots of both tap and swing era rhythm.  No partner required. Beginners welcome - no previous experience required. $100. TONIGHT! Tranky Doo Workshop with Karen - Part I - Tues April 12.  8.30-9.30PM, Part II - Tuesday April 19. 7.15-8.15PM.
The Tranky Doo is another classic routine that is even more fun than it sounds! Lindy Hoppers will often begin this routine at social events and, much like the Shim Sham, individuals will join in once they recognise its beginning moves. Beginner-intermediate level and above.  You can do Part I by itself but you will need to attend Part I in order to attend Part II. $100 per Part. NEXT WEEK! I Swing Both Ways with Karen & Sergey - Tuesday April 19. 8.20-9.30PM
Be ambidancetrous!  Lindy Hop is a shared dance and both lead and follow roles are equally important.  In this special class, leads will follow and follows will lead, starting from simple movement.  You'll understand the mechanics of connection and communication much better once you have been on the other side!  Plus, you'll gain insights into your own dancing and a new respect for your partner.  Expect lots of laughs!  Intermediate level and above. $100.

• Bike Trip - we'll be taking bikes (1-3 person) around the Houhai area, visiting the Drum and Bell Towers, Prince Gong's Mansion and a couple other cool spots with an Old Beijing meal in the middle
• Classes - we've pretty much finalized our class schedule, which will include classes FOR ALL LEVELS with the following themes:
• Balboa For All - basic bal feel and steps, what you need to know to be a bal dancer!
• Stretching Your Lindy - look like the pros with the stretching that kick your Lindy into high gear!
• Swinging the Blues - learn to feel the blues in your body, translate music into moves and infuse blues into your regular dancing with body control, lead/follow and adding angles to make your blues more powerful!
• Feeling the Music - a one of a kind class with live musicians that looks at different forms of music and how to interpret that in your dancing. Includes steps and movements and how they change as the music changes. Become a better dancer by understanding the music!
• Restaurants - these are included in the Full Weekend package, but if you have the Dance or Party Pass and would like join any of the dinners, please do let us know in advance!  Friday - Baoyuan Dumpling Restaurant, Saturday - Xiao Wang Fu, Sunday - Lan Ting Banquet. 
• Great Wall Bus - IMPORTANT - we MUST have final numbers for the trip to the Great Wall by April 11th. If you haven't signed up by that date, we can't guarantee you a spot on the bus.  
• Cabaret - we've been able to get LAN Club to host our cabaret night on Sunday, which is going to be AWESOME!  They've been super generous and are giving one free drink to everyone, followed by live blues music.  If you are planning to come, get your tickets in ADVANCE for 150 RMB or at the DOOR for 200 RMB.
