Subject: First Annual IIE Photo Contest!

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to request your help in announcing the First Annual IIE Photo Contest. Please forward the attached announcement to current and former IIE grantees and encourage them to enter. The goal of the contest is to document how IIE program grantees and alumni are making an impact across the world every day, with the best grantee photos to be selected for use in IIE materials and on the web site. The best photographs will tell the visual story of IIE by showing the grantee and/or other IIE participants engaged in their work or study abroad.

The deadline for submissions is: Friday, November 20, 2009. A panel of judges composed of IIE staff members will choose the winners of the IIE Photo Contest. The photos will represent the many programs around the world that the Institute administers, including, but not limited to:

·         Fulbright

·         Ford International Fellowships

·         Boren Scholarship

·         Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship

·         Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship

·         GE Scholar-Leader Program

IIE will announce the winners of the Photo Contest on December 15, 2009. The Grand Prize Winner will receive an iPod touch. The 1st and 2nd runners up will receive a $25 iTunes or Amazon Gift Card. Three contestants will receive an honorable mention and Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2009.

Please go to www.iie.org/iiephotocontest for complete contest entry information.
