to HKN/IEEE merger
Are we interested in writing in candidates for the Board positions
that are up for a vote? I am personally interested in writing in a
person such as Tom Rothwell for President. He has been a President in
the past and is clearly still quite active within HKN. I will e-mail
him to see if he's interested, but that was just an example.
Berkeley, Michigan or anyone else in the West and East Central
Regions, do you have anyone to suggest for those two regions?

I would like to add that organizing a write-in is irrespective of our

opinion on the merger. Whether you agree with the merger or not, it
appears that we all agree that the Board of Governors has handled this
merger poorly from the beginning. I personally feel that write-ins
are very important to send a message that the chapters want more
transparency in our national organization.

We have discussed this several times, and unfortunately we could not
come up with anyone at Michigan who we could suggest that would take a
more active role in the organization.
