Dear Lord, hear my prayer:

I thank you for another day of life and the blessings you have
bestowed upon me, both spiritual and temporal.

I pray for the forgiveness of my sins and that you will help me
to be a better man, less angry and frightened, more productive
and confident and more aware of your presence in my daily life.

I pray for the souls of my parents and the souls of my family
who have gone on and I pray for those who yet live.

I pray for the souls of Mark and of Julie, of Brian and of Evelyn,
and I pray for absent friends, wherever they may be.

I pray for the less fortunate, especially for those who suffer
cruelty and oppression.

I pray for those like me who have no one to pray for them.

I pray for Cri.

I thank you for helping to accept the loss of my cat and for the joy
Cyril now gives me. I thank you for sparing his life and I pray that
you keep him happy and healthy, and have me know how best to care
for him.

I pray for my own health. I thank you for restoring my back and my
leg and I pray you restore my hand and lessen my vertigo. I pray you
spare me from cancer and wasting diseases, from madness and
dementia. I pray for the strength, both physical and mental, to
continue on.

I pray for your guidance in all things, especially creative work.

I pray to know your will for my life and that your will be done in
all things. I pray for wisdom and strength.

I pray you confound the wicked and comfort the righteous.

Please bless me and protect me and comfort me in my confusion.

These things I ask in Christ's name.
