I think you are stucked. =20
To solve the ghost problem like yours (remember I have been to your
house before), you need something like the de-ghost chip like those
implemented by Audio Alchemy VRE v1.0. =20
The theory behind this is very simple. The ghost image were caused by
signal reflected/deflected by high rise or hills around your house and
they arrived to your antenna a farction of a second later than the
main signal. Unfortunately the antenn cannot differentiate the main
signal from the deflected singal, so all of them were displayed on
your TV. Therefore the "ghost" appeared.
To eliminate this, a standard calibration pictures need to be
broadcasted by local TV stations. And if your TV turner (or whatever
equipment in between) has a de-ghost chip, it will also store the
standard picture as reference. By comparing the standard picture
stored in the chip with the signal received from the TV broadcast, the
chip can actually work out which signal are the main signal and need
to preserve. It will also work out which are the deflection signals
which should be discarded. So at the end, this work like a filter to
discard unwanted signal and your TV picture will back to normal.
Unfortunately, Hong Kong do not have such standard picutre hided
inside the broadcast system. So you really can't do much about it
except by moving the antenna to an angle where deflection can be
minmised.
