How to find files in command line?

Does anybody know how I can find a bunch of files from a destination
directory just like the Find Menu in Win95 does? I don't want to type
all files name each time I do this operation. Is it possible use a
file to store those filenames and then do a search in a command or
else?
That may be a bit confusing. Pls let me know if you don't exactly know
what I asked. Thanks!!
