坦白說, 香港人的中文水平就不怎麼好的了, 這點我早有自知之明, 但我想在英文方面
總能在亞洲取得優勢吧?? 至少會好過台灣大陸吧??? 至於新加坡就不敢說

As I notice, the overall english standard in HK is better than in Japan
and Korea
However, english is a language that ppl use to communicate in Singapore.
I believe that Singapore is better in this way~

Look for the Singlish Website.

The kind of English using in HK is the Queen's English which is known as the
best kind of English of the World. However, the standard is up to
individual. It is also one of the easy understand & listen one.

But most of the hk people speak chinese in the everyday life. Over 95% of hk
people are chinese race, English is only our second langauge. And hk people
not usually read books, especially english books, chinese comic books are
ok. Also the mother tougue language teaching makes hk peoples english
standard fall down.
Meanwhile, Singapore's eduacation is in english, even the singaporeans at
home, they use english too, thus their english is good but chinese is
failed. Compared with hongkong, singaporeans english is better than
hongkong.
But hongkong still is leading the asia in english,as my experience they
still better than China, Taiwan, Japan.

Singaporeans' English writing skill may be better, but not their English
speaking one, especially the pronounication and tone -- very terrible.

Totally agree

Singapore is using four different languages in their daily life. The compare
should not only take the specific group. We should count on the average. I
have an experience in a business meeting with people from Singapore,
Britain, US & Japan. Two UK & three US men asked those four Singaporeans
whether they were speaking English (I can understand that they were using
English to communicate among them - Singaporeans).

I am totally agree that most of HK people using Chinese, however, in the
pass, our official language is/was English. All my education was in English.
I found most of the student nowadays having big difficult in using English,
especially after the government force to using Chinese to teach. I think the
most important is that lot of people (moving) into HK know nothing about
ABC..., if we keep using English as the teaching media, this group of people
will be .......... (sorry to HK student's future)

If we look at those claimed to be the (Ming Hau 名校) in China, 90% promote
and use English as their key teaching language.

I am S U R E the English standard of HK people will drop after several
years of (媽語教育) as HK is currently not looking for International.
