I use all my old hardware and setup 20 computers. I now find they are quite
fast in Vista and win7. Here is their config.

These 7 computers use Vista HK version 32 bits ultimate Sp2

These first 4 computers use AMD 4800+ to 5200+, they all use usb 3 card with
a newly 8G usb3 drive

Magic Pro A2N5 extreme II, 2x 120G sata1 harddisk in raid 0, 3G ram, 2x
9600GT, 1x 1.5TB harddisk

Magic Pro A2N5 extreme II, 2x 80G sata1 harddisk in raid 0, 3G ram, 2x
9600GT, 1x 1.5TB harddisk

Raid 0 with difficult to co-exist with other harddisk, these 2 computer can

Magic Pro A2N5, 2x 120G sata1 harddisk in raid 0, 3G ram, 2x 9600GT

Magic Pro A2N5, 2x 80G sata 1 harddisk in raid 0, 3G ram, 2x 9600GT

These 4 computers all sli enable. They get high experience index in Vista.
In memory, 2 graphic test and harddisk item. They all get 5.9. They are fast
in many application. Vista in the past is very slow in most computer. But
they are quite fast in raid 0 with usb 3 drive. Without raid 0, single
harddisk only get 4.8 in experience test. Now they get 5.9.

These 3 computer use intel cpu and all with a usb3 8G drive

Inno3D 680i motherboard, E4600, 2G ram, Asus U3S6, 2x 250G harddisk, 1x
1.5TB harddisk, 2x 9600GSO

These 3 computers with SLI enable and in raid 0. They all get 5.9 in Vista
experience index in 2 graphic and harddisk.

10 other computers use win7 32 bits SP1. All use usb 3 card and a 8G usb 3
drive. They all get 5.9 in harddisk test on wiu7 experience test

5 of them use 2x 260GTX in SLI, XFX or J&W 750a SLI motherboard, 4G ram,
They all get 7.8 in 2 graphic test on win7 experience test. 3 of them use
2x250G harddisk in raid 0, 1 use 320G 7200rpm 2.5" harddisk and 500G
harddisk, 1 use 500G 2.5" hybrid harddisk and 640G harddisk

XFX 750A motherboard, 465GTX, 8800GS, 250G 2.5" harddisk with a 32G SSD
harddisk on span

J&W 750A motherboard, 465GTX, 8800GS, 250G 2.5" harddisk with a 32G SSD

these 2 computer get 7.6 on 2 graphic test and 5.9 harddisk test on Win7

2 computers with J&W P945 motherboard, Q6600, 470GTX, 2G ram, 640G harddisk.
they get 7.8 on 2 graphic test

Elitegroup 780G motherboard, AMD 9500, 550GTX, 2G ram, 2x 640G hardisk, 7.3
on 2 graphic test

The other 3 computers with Win7 64 bits

These 2 computers get 7.3 on 2 graphic test on Win7 experience index.

J&W 790GX fusion, AMD 250, 8G usb 2 driver, 320G harddisk, Asus U3S6 with 1x
1.5TB and 2TB harddisk, 1x ATI 6850. It gets 7.6 on 2 graphic test.

My 20 computers is not slow at all. They are quite stable. My 7 Vista
computers is quite fast I think for in my opinion, new hardware may cause a
lot of trouble in Vista OS.
