Dear Dragons
In the last few days there has been an unfortunate escalation of cases and deaths from Covid-19, both globally and in Hong Kong.
While we don’t want to discourage any of our members from continuing to run, ride and swim, we feel that as a club we should continue to contribute to the effort of stemming the spread of the Coronavirus, and encouraging its demise.
As a result, we will be suspending all Dragons organised training and events for now.
Of course, if you still want to go out for a ride, run or swim, we would encourage you to do so, as having a fit and healthy lifestyle is a good deterrent to any virus.
Thankfully, unlike some other countries, there are no restrictions yet imposed by the Hong Kong government (although the availability of fee-paying facilities run by the LCSD and HKU have been suspended as of today too.)
But we would encourage everyone to practice social distancing - being no less than a metre from anyone you are interacting with - and to self-isolate for 14 days if you or a member of your household have been travelling and just returned to HK.
Hopefully with a concerted effort from all, Hong Kong can contain the outbreak and we can return to normal service sooner, rather than later.
