Deadline Extended: Request for Proposals: Twinning Partnership to Support Education and Training of Biomedical Engineers and Technicians in Ethiopia

The American International Health Alliance (AIHA) is pleased to issue a Request for Proposals to support a new volunteer-based partnership linking two Ethiopian academic institutions – the Jimma University Department of Biomedical Engineering and Tegbare-id Polytechnic College - with an academic institution or consortium of institutions possessing expertise in supporting biomedical equipment technician training and institutional and administrative capacity strengthening of biomedical equipment maintenance services at healthcare institutions.

 

Proposals are requested from academic institutions with both a strong teaching component and linkages with a hospital system that can effectively demonstrate commitment to the overall goals this partnership. The selected resource partner should have a successful biomedical equipment technician training program in place and expertise in practical training programs to students.
