Does anyone have one of these MicroSD card slots that you see here: http://www.gadgetgangster.com/scripts/thumbs/pic/407/10.JPG

They say it's a pretty standard part, though I haven't been able to find exactly what the part is called again. I don't need the kit from them, it's just the slot and 4 x 10kΩ resistors. Apparently the audio/video features the board provides aren't very useful without it, but they don't sell the kit whole.

Anyway, if you A) have a spare one, and B) are coming to open house tonight, I'll C) buy it off of you. Otherwise, I'll just order one, but hoping someone will save the day here.

you might have some trouble soldering it without a breakout board, though.

the teensy people sell a breakout for real cheap -- $10 I think and it comes with all the parts populated (the socket and some power supply stuff) .

Anyways I'm happy to give you one at open house tonight.

A guy in the video for the board said it was possible to solder it buy hand. I think I'm willing to try.

If this thing works properly, it'll be one of the cheapest kits for doing TV video/audio I've ever seen. $25 gets you the Parallax Propellor MCU, which is a goofy thing to program but is fast, and $14 gets you the QuickProto board (gadgetgangster.com/295), so for about $40 you have all of the uncommon parts to start building a mini game console. I understand it's possible to get SNES quality graphics out of it.

And thanks. It'll be a big help to not have to wait a week for one tiny part to come in. :)
