Good morning once again,

Hope you are all doing well. This again is a reminder about our tasks.
Remember we have not yet set our deadlines and have not as well
scheduled our first meeting. I am thinking we need to have our first
meeting after we have some thing in place...like draft something...

Audrey raises a very important point:-to refer to the summit
definition of CB;

At the Summit, group one defined capacity building as; an evidence
driven process to improve the ability of an individual, team,
organization, network, sector or community to create measurable and
sustainable results.

The group also did come up with a list of words that are relevant in
the expanded definition of capacity building: actual knowledge, skills
set, strengthening, enhancing, participation, leadership,
participation, resources, will/desire, ownership, management,
attitude, mentoring and coaching.

Can we start at this point. There are a number of terms however, to
think about; capacity building, capacity development and capacity
strengthening. we might need at some point to come out clearly on all
these terms. AIDS STAR, we are told was working on something, members,
has any of you accessed this? Can we look it up so as we do not re-
invent the wheel?

And again, about the time lines...I am suggesting that by July 30th we
should have draft definitions of terms, and start working on measures
and indicators..Please share as much information with the group as you
can. we need to learn from the two regions and across the world, look
at different models and the standards there in.

Together, we will build capacity!
