Hello Members,

I am Geoffrey Taasi from Uganda wishing all of you fruitful
discussions at TWG2.

I propose we can have two co chairs and a secretary or one deputy
chair.

Each of the seven mebers will tehefore be executive members of this
noble TWG!

We need to have nominations for these positions as soon as members
submit their comments...so we can start work

We must live up to the standards, remember.

Thank you Geoffrey for your email. I agree with the idea of co-chairs to share the responsibility. Perhaps with such a small group we can be less formal, unless/until the membership grows. Just a thought.

I am happy to serve the team in any capacity needed. I will however be traveling to the US for most of July, so my communication ability will be limited until I return to Nairobi in August.

Let's get the opinions of the other 8 members, I probably need to be
seconded and if need be, other nominations, then the vote!!!

Dear Geoffrey, Lisa & Others,

I am excited to join you on this working group. Defining standards and measuring results from capacity development poses a number of interesting challenges. But there is also a lot of great work that we can draw upon.

I am in the process of relocating to Nairobi from Washington DC at present. I will be in Nairobi from July 11 and able to contribute to this TWG from that date. Perhaps we can plan to have a teleconference via Skype around that time? It would be great to introduce one another and talk about our goals together.

Dear Members of TWG 2,

 

 

I second the nomination of Taasi as Chair and Lisa as co chair.

 

I got carried away with the nomination and forgot to introduce myself!  My name is Abbot Ntwali; M&E Officer from UNASO.

 

An idea to get us working; once we get through with establishing our leadership we can we come up with timelines for diffrent tasks that will be accomplished by TWG 2. Probably we shall can come up with the tasks first then attach corresponding timelines.

Hi everyone,

 

It took me a while to figure the email protocols, but nonetheless, happy to join in at this point. I do agree with the nominees so far, however, given that we may need to get up and running, in July, Lisa do you think your contributions will be limited by your travel in that month? But given we are not even sure what chair and co-chair means at this point, I am not even sure that matters anyway-just thought to raise this.

 

I will review the documents sent and give my feedback in the course of the week and make suggestions where appropriate.

To be more specific, I'll be traveling to the US from June 20-July 30, and will be on email intermittently while on leave. I'll be working in NC the 11th-14th and 25th-28th of July.  I certainly don't want to hold anything up though.  I am happy to make what every contribution makes sense given those constraints.
