I'm happy to report that local Yelp! manager Emi Hart is not only a
fantastic artist and community organizer, but also a supporter of
Twestival. So we will have her help to promote this year's event...
AND will very likely have her kick off the live music program!
Through Emi, Twestival Honolulu will have the banner spot in the
Weekly Yelp newsletter for March 16, which goes out to over 30,000
local Yelpers, and will be the "On the Radar" pick the following week.
Yelp! will also be at the Twestival with some swag and prizes (and I'm
hoping for some Yelp! popcorn as well).
A lot of people don't include Yelp in the short list of social
networks that can drive events and social good, but having attended a
few Yelp! events, I can tell you that it's a vibrant and active
community that can, with the right buzz, fill a venue. Hopefully with
their help -- and yours -- we call fill The Venue!
