Hi Everyone,

Here is the first pass...  I think we need to up our numbers to 80 attendees and pare down the more expensive items.  Please share your thoughts...

Thanks, Kelly, for getting that! I also JUST NOW got a proposal from
Wedge Lee of Ono To Go. Both are basically proposing $10 a head for 50
people. We can presumably up either as needed. But I desperately would
like everyone to chime in with their thoughts by midday tomorrow
(Thursday) so we can make a call.

DH Catering:
VEG Vegetarian Eggrolls
Shrimp Cocktail
Teriyaki Chicken Sticks
Meat, Cheese, Cracker Platter
California Roll

Ono To Go:
Grilled Shrimp
Chicken Dish - Grilled or Korean
Meatballs - Teriyaki Sauce
Rice Dish - Baked Topping / Imitation Crab / Nori Side

I might just be hungry, but both sound good to me. The DH proposal
sounds very Chinatown art crowd, the Ono To Go menu sounds more
"local" (whatever that means). Your thoughts?

Both sound yummy! Maybe being in Arizona, at the moment, makes the more "local" menu sound extra good.

Certainly hope both could add people as close to curtain time as possible.

Don't know if ticket sales were all last minute last year (or door sales) but I'm hoping we'll see lots more guests making a committment soon.

Seeing the two side by side... I side with the Chinatown art crowd. ;) DH Catering and support whichever way the masses go ... ;)

Everything has been running smoothly in the planning, for the sake of choosing I'll go with DH Catering, but majority rules.

Aloha,
Neenz.

DH Catering is all good with me, we have worked with Sakara many times and think they will do a great job.

Sounds like DH Catering is a comfortable choice for everyone so far.
Kelly, can you ask them about proceeding with an agreement and
deposit?

We have a $500 commitment from Farmers and a $500 commitment from
Bruce. For simplicity's sake, I was hoping to have Bruce handle the
bar liability with The Venue. So the question is how to connect the
Farmers payment to DH Catering. Presuming Farmers prefers to issue
payment to someone associated with Honolulu Twestival, Kelly, do you
have a DBA we could "borrow" (as Bruce provided for last year)? If I
sent Farmers an invoice with you as payee?

If not, I think Valentino and I might be able to span the gap with our
business and account, but I haven't asked him yet. :) Since you have
been their contact and signatory so far, I'm thinking it'd be
simplest!

There will be GET charged by DH, so I'll cover the difference.

HI Ryan,

Yes, my DBA is fine.

Will let Sakara know. Thanks Bruce for the original recommendation of DH Catering.

K ;)
