Some of us have been working at getting the website ready with few
essential tools. As of now, we have the following features:
1. Forums: We have created few forums to facilitate discussion on Java
Certifications (thanks, Indian). Visit
http://www.hiteccityjug.org/forum and be the first one to start a
discussion.
2. Mailing Lists: We have created three mailing lists to facilitate
communication among all our members. Please subscribe to all of them so
that we have a good number to test the load on server etc. If you think
the mail traffic is too much, then at a later date you can unsubscribe
with just a click, literally. Visit

* Newsletter -- a weekly newsletter with upcoming events, latest java
news, reviews of non-JUG events writtem by members, Top-Job postings by
sponsors, Tips of the week etc.
* Event Notification -- a monthly reminder about our JUG meeting
* Job Postings -- an adhoc mailing list for sending our jobs posted by
sponsors and our JUG members.
* Broadcast - Every HITEC City JUG member is automatically added to
this mailing list. This will be used only for S.O.S. notifications by
the Steering Committee, Editors or Web Chair.
We currently have about 29 members already registered. There are about
22 more members that need to register at http://www.hiteccityjug.org/
And by the way, the first news letter will be coming our on Monday, Dec
19 with news about Sun PCQuest Developer summit and some important Java
news!

please go ahead and register. We currently have about 57 users on
www.hiteccityjug.org and about 59 members on this Google Group. We
would like to migrate to www.hiteccityjug.org before the end of this
year.
