Hi Chakra & Srini,

We use lot of open-source software and we, the java developers, are a
handicap without google and apache. But when I question myself that how
much do we really contribute to the open-source development, the answer
is disheartening. Can we start a new open-source project in java ? It
could be as small as a xml parser or anything else for that matter.

Lets not fix any timeframes. Lets not delve early into the division of
labour. Please figure out how we can go ahead with this.

Regards,
Shiv

Shiv,

Good to see individuals as you who are willing to take the initiative
to contribute to open source. It is a very good idea indeed. As you
said, let's not get into the detail of the project just yet.

As the members of a startup JUG, I propose that we keep the eyes on
the ball. As it merits its own discussion thread, please refer to the
thread: "Action Plan to Kick-off Our JUG."

Please keep your input coming.

In fact, I have an idea to start a project and looking. As Chakra said
initially we keep our eye on making group more powerful and then we can
think of it.
