What was it about the American social, political, and musical situations in the early sixties that made the country so ready for invasion by the British bands?
the civil rights movement was building up and without that background in the US the beatles and stones, who were heavily influenced by black musicians, may not have been well received/broadcasted, like elvis at the grand ole opry. idk what else to write these questions keep getting harder?? like. thinking?? what is that.

Were the Beatles and the Rolling Stones so great that they could have taken over the U.S. charts any time, or was it mostly a case of good timing that the became so popular so quickly?
they had the talent and ability to be popular any time any place but i think it was good timing and dumb luck that got them into their starts and then on. it was definitely good timing that they both started in the era they did.
