OH MY GOD THIS IS SO MANY QUESTIONS W H Y
Is folk music at its best when expressing controversy and hard times, or is it music for all time?
there will always be controversy and there will always be hippies to sing about it so it will last for all time prob. its at its best when its from the heart awww
Why were young adults listening to Bob Dylan instead of pop or soul music during the early sixties?
they were dang hippies?????? he was new on the scene andmade folk rock so it combined the popular rock feel
Why were traditional folk musicians offended when Dylan began to use amplified instruments?
its kinda like when baby boomers get offendedwhen millenials use their phones
technology is bad fire is scary and thomas edison was witch
Is acoustic folk music more “authentic” and folk-rock too commercial to also be heard as authentic?
no its up to whoevers listening andtheyll judge it themselves. i think that you cantjudgemusic like that
Frank Zappa criticized singer/songwriters for being too personal and too quick to dump their problems and feelings on their listeners, who are already burdened with their own problems.
well frank zappa can stop being a prick bevause people can sing about their feelings if they want to and if someone doesnt want to listen then they dont have to. for example, meghan trainor sings about her feelings and i slap the off button on the radio lol bye
Is the widespread popularity of music by singer/songwriters an indication that he was wrong, or did he make a valid point?
zappa is wrong and im right
