During the late sixties, The British invasion didn't save rock and roll, it reformed it, recreated it in a sense that would inspire blues revival bands to rise from the garage band style that was fresh and young in the united states, (and all together, not all that successful). These post-beatles (and stones) musicians overwhemled america with music the likes of which we won't see again for quite some time, the culture behind many of the second tier british invasion artists depended heavlily on groups such as the mods, and who can forget about the kinks and thier kultists (WITH A K!)
