What was it about social, political, and musical in the 60s that made the country so ready for the British Invasion?

People were so ready for the British invasion because politically they were protesting the Vietnam war which many others were doing which also allowed for them to be accepted socially as well. And musically, the doors to rock and roll had already been opened by Elvis allowing them to come over. and drugs. (This answer was the wise words of my father.)

Where the Beatles and the stones so good they could have made the charts at anytime or was it just good timing?

I think it was honestly a combination of both, although both bands did know how to change with the times I think they may have got a good start with something they were good at.

I totally agree, especially when you mention the protests which occurred more than regularly, music was a way of expressing themselves and their opinions in the mess of society in the 60s and 70s, I also agree that it was a combination of good timing and they're greatness but I can't figure out why their music still reaches to the generations of today.
