First Reconstruction of Extinct Animal

I was wondering - which is considered the first "life-appearance” reconstruction of a vertebrate (not considering mounted skeletons), I thought Cuvier 1812, but even if he draw tertiary mammals with outlines of soft tissue he didn’t publish his sketches, there are some pterodactyls drawing (1800 in a private letter to Cuvier) and possibly one published in 1817
